Knox has updated its Warrior safety harness for 2011. Developed with input from Jamie Law during this year's Maxxis MX1 championship, the revised Warrior covers the back, lumbar region, chest and shoulders with CE-approved protectors as before.

The Warrior harness

For 2011 the waist strapping system has been modified, using technology developed for the race track. The wide Velcro waist belt is fully adjustable and pulls the back protector tight into the body for a close fit and the chest protector now attaches to the waist belt with two Velcro tabs. This system helps to ensure that the harness stays securely in place while riding. Quick release straps allow the upper arm protectors to be removed from the shoulder armour, giving the wearer the option to customise the Warrior.

At the core of Knox protection is a naturally strong hexagonal honeycomb that absorbs massive amounts of energy from an impact, yet is lightweight and breathable - the Warrior remains one of the few harnesses designed for crashing rather than simply roost protection, meeting all relevant European EN1621 standards. For riders who wish to use a neck brace, the BC9 model is compatible with most popular brands and now features Leatt-specific attachment tabs to ensure that neck brace and harness stay connected during use.

Made in England, the Knox Warrior Harness is produced in sizes small and large - measurement details are available from the Knox website or at your local Knox Premier Centre - and options are available for use either with or without a neck brace, both retailing for £129.99 including VAT. Choose from black and white colour schemes.
