Norwich egg run
By: Web Editor
What a great day out this was – a top turnout. As I made my way to the Red Lion, I wondered if the egg run would be as good (if not better) than last year. The weather was dull, but dry and I wasn’t to be disappointed.
From one o'clock onwards, a steady stream of scooters arrived until the moment we left for the hospital. In total, 114 scooters made up from Norwich Broadsman, Fine City, Mag 7, New Sensations, Kings Lynn Gladiators, Yarmouth Sidewinders and many more (sorry if I’ve missed you out).
The rideout made its way through Norwich, with one old lady having a pop at Simmo for being in her way. After a small regroup, we made it to the hospital without problems and the eggs were handed over to the smiling nurses. After about an hour, people drifted back to the Red Lion to finish off a perfect day with a BBQ and drinks.
I’d like to thank Johnners and all who made this happen. I’ve never seen so many choccy eggs. A big thanks to all who came along, you did us proud.
