Boiler suits and EuroVespa
16 November 2011.
Hi Mau! I love the articles about the EuroVespa events of the 1950s and 60s with all their pageantry.
Forced legislation
16 November 2011.
Hi Mau, The legislators, or so it would appear, have been, for some years, trying to legislate the two wheeled powered ‘motorcycle’ off the road. For instance, the new rider entrance legislation has made it nigh on impossible for those not very focused to even start off as a novice.
Colin Barker, RIP

The Chalet coffee bar in Gorleston, Norfolk has been the spiritual home of the local scooter boys since the early 1960s. It has been owned by the Barker family since 1960. Colin Barker, who has been there since that date sadly died on September 19, aged 73.
Spanish postal service scooters

Hi Mau,
Further to the Spanish postal service Vespas pictured in issues 79 and 80, I thought readers would be interested in this photograph.
Advertising 1955 style
20 July 2011.
Hi Mau,
I thought you might be interested to see how scooters were advertised in 1955. I worked at Sun Cycle Fittings in Aston, Birmingham at the age of 16 and was asked to model the brand new scooter it had just manufactured, called the GENI. It went in all the papers and scooter magazines and I still have the original poster, but it is rather dilapidated now!

Just to let you know that the members of Vespa club Miyagi are very pleased with the article that you published in the last edition; one member even has it framed!
GS150 rectifier
18 May 2011.
Hi Guys,
I was interested in your feature on rectifying Vespas in issue 77. I have this very problem with my GS150 and purchased a bridge rectifier (no KBPC 2504) from my local Maplin store with the intention of replacing the old rectifier.
