Moving on

With Christmas now out of the way, it’s time to start making your plans for 2010. I don’t know about you, but this first part of the new millennium just seems to have shot by for me and I’ve had a few major changes in my life over that period – some good, some bad – but I don’t want to dwell on that here.
Anyway, with another riding season about to kick off shortly, it’s that time of year for making sure that scooters are prepared ready for the first events of the season, which normally kicks off properly when spring arrives. If you have any major maintenance that still needs sorting, or a restoration that is awaiting finishing, now is the time to get things done, before you leave it too late. The same principle follows with your preparation for the various events that you want to attend during the year. There is so much going on within the scooterist scene that it would be impossible to do every single event, so prioritise your plan of action with the events that you want to attend; then you can get the tent ready, or those B&Bs booked!
I think you’ll have to agree that our psychedelic 60s style cover certainly stands out – and no, you don’t get a free pair of 3D glasses to view it with. Designer Paul Smith was the inspiration for John Strowgler’s idea of how he wanted his Series 1 Framebreather to look. To complement the bike, our magazine cover artwork was done by one of our own Simon Duncan (himself a scooterist), who works here at our office and we think that he’s done a good job – don’t you?
