First signs of spring?
By: Web Editor
The beginning of March is a time you’d normally start to see the scooter scene spring into life, but as I write this we are still getting the odd snow shower. It’s OK if you have a scooter that you can use in weather like this, but if you only have one decent, pristine machine, then the last thing you want is the salt eating away at the bodywork.
There are however, signs of life within the scooter community. As we go to press, Burton Brewers are hosting their ever popular custom show and Wicksteed Parts Fair will have occurred by the time this issue reaches you. One of my first events (and one of my personal favourites) will be the VMSC Extravaganza. Every year it delivers an eclectic mix of machines and participants with something to suit everyone’s taste.
With the onset of the 2010 season comes a flood of material for the magazine. This issue has been a bit a like a tidal wave hitting, with a wall of editorial coming our way, making this a packed issue. However, there’s a downside side to this – we can’t get everything in! I apologise if this causes any frustrations, but we only have a certain amount of editorial space to play with and I would hope that the editorial mix of this issue will provide something for everybody. The editorial this issue includes a subject we don’t normally cover in CSS – an auto. Now I know they aren’t to every reader’s tastes, but the latest Scomadi TL250 is a significant machine in more ways that one and we will be following its’ progress through 2010. As I said, there’s something for everybody.
